Mandy Bridesmaid (Friend of the Bride) Mandy and I first met in Dr. Elliot's Economics class at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville (SIUE) in January 1998. As this was only my second class at SIUE, I was so excited to meet Mandy because I quickly realized that she was going to become one of my great friends. At SIUE, Mandy and I were known for our many late nights spent in my small apartment working on projects or studying for the next big test. Luckily though, we were often able to convince ourselves that taking a walk was exactly what we needed to “refresh” our minds. Of course, no walk was ever complete without a quick stop at Annie’s Frozen Custard stand (again, just to “refresh” ourselves). Although some of my greatest memories with Mandy revolve around school, the ones that I will treasure the most are the times that I spent Easter with her and her family, or the time that she tried to teach me how to sew and quickly realized that at every step along the way I would just have to try on my work in progress. But my favorite memories of all are those times that I was able to help her when she was planning her wedding. Now, I am lucky enough to have her help me in planning my wedding and I am so thankful that she has been there for me every step of the way. Thank you Mandy for being there for me and helping me make this a day that I will never forget. Thank you so much for standing there with me as I become Greg's wife. | |||||||
