Located in Downtown Houston, Bayou Place is an entertainment complex that is the largest of its kind in Texas. The Ariel Theater, the Angelika Film Center and several restaurants, including the Hard Rock Cafe are located under one roof.

Galveston Mardi Gras
Mardi Gras! Galveston 2003: Rainforests of the World will be celebrated Feb. 21 through "Fat Tuesday," March 4, 2003. Gulf Greyhound Park
Gulf Greyhound Park is a greyhound racing operation. Live world-class greyhound racing and pari-mutuel wagering are offered at Gulf Greyhound Park, year round, rain or shine. Evening performances are held Tuesday through Saturday. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and races begin at 7:30 p.m. Matinee performances are held Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Sunday evening races are held at 4:30 p.m. Doors open at 12:00 p.m. and races begin at 1:30 p.m

NASA’S Johnson Space Center and Space Center Houston

Rice Village
Great area that has a little bit of everything. In addition to restaurants, The Rice Village has everything from The Gap to Main Street Theater, to The Gingerbread all located within a few blocks of each other.

Richmond Strip
The strip offers a number of restaurants, bars, and nightclubs. City Streets is a very popular hangout. Inside this nightclub, you'll find seven different clubs, including a 70s Pop Disco, a piano bar, and a huge Country & Western dance hall.

River Oaks
River Oaks Boulevard and Kirby Drive are filled with beautiful large estates. Home of the Azalea Trail and the River Oaks Country Club, River Oaks is located between the Galleria and Downtown. Homes were built here back to the 1920's but there are new homes available also. Prices range from $800,000 to multi-millions.

Note: If you want to drive around to check out huge mansions, this is the place to go!

The Galleria
The Galleria is a huge shopping center with 4 floors. On the ground level is an ice-skating rink. Situated around the rink is the main food "court" that has everything. There are over 300 stores in the Galleria, and 43 restaurants are located in the building, including the Cheesecake Factory.
